The Lost World

Part of History

I ended up going over to a family friend’s property to create images of an abandoned barn. I went early in the morning in an attempt to get the lighting illuminating one side of the barn, along with spilling a bit inside. Creating images of buildings is not something that I am particular used to, so I spent quite some time finding angles that I could fall in love with. The family friend that lives on the property to us that the original owner quit using this particular barn after a family member was bitten by a rattlesnake in one of the stalls.

This assignment was also the first time that I really utilized converting images to black and white. Ultimately, I really enjoyed seeing the end product. At the end of the day, I think I prefer my standard product photography better due to the fact that I get to stay indoors and avoid the impending Idaho winter!
